Very delicious, big portions, friendly staff, prices are ok, english menu available. Seating design is maybe a bit questionable and difficult for taller or older people. (But normal tables also exist).

I am a curry snob and this place is AMAZING. You will think you are lost trying to find it but it is well worth the search. Cute small restaurant with maybe 5 tables. My wife got the beef hamburger special that they only make 5 of per day, I got the house special, both were phenomenal. Do yourself a favor and check this place out if you love curry!

I had the spicy chicken curry and i assure you it isn't spicy. But its extremely flavorful. Not enough curry to completely dip the rice in but its enough.

First of all i have to appreciate that they honor their closing hour. We were struggled to find a restaurant that's still open at 6:30pm. Cocoro is one of the few place that's still open in the town. Food wise I've picked the Cocoro special which cost 1700 yen. The amount of food that comes with it was very satisfied. It's curry rice with a hot pan on the side with vegetables and pork. Of all time I've been in Japan i struggled to find restaurant with more vegetables.

Amazing place, delicious authentic fresh made curry. The meat in the curry practically melts. The special dish which I got is 1700 yen, which is pricier than usual, but it's a whole different experience. We'll worth it.

Lou's savory saruya that you can't imagine from its delicious appearance. . ..It wasn't so good, so I couldn't finish it.I wonder if the potatoes were delicious.It's also a shame that the essential seafood ingredients are scarce even though it is a seafood curry.

Absolutely good curry. If you want to be full just order the kokoro special. Which is katsu over grained rice with braised pork and vegetables curry. Highly recommended even if its a 10 minute walk from the station.

Curry was very good and served in separate bowl with vegetables. Portion was huge and enough for 2 persons.

夏の三連休の真ん中の日に訪問しました。箱根湯本駅から歩いて行ける距離の、商店街などから少し離れたところにあります。お店は地下にあるらしく、看板は派手ですが前情報なしだとちょっと入りづらいかも？18時ほどの夕暮れの時間帯で食事のピークかと思いますが、お客さんは結構空いていて、待ちなしでそのまま席に案内してもらえました。普段は行列ができるらしいので、コロナの影響でしょうか。それでもコロナ禍の中、この少々わかりづらい立地でちゃんとお客さんが入っている事自体がすごいですね。店内は地下にあるのと、薄暗いなかオレンジ色の照明がどことなくお洒落な雰囲気を醸し出していました。心カレーと、連れは気合半分喝カレーを注文。しばらくすると、深手のスキレットのような一人前用鍋に入ったカレーと別皿のご飯が登場。連れがライスの上に乗った豚カツをかじると、ざくりととても耳触りのいい音が。味にうるさい連れですが、まず一口食べた豚カツが絶品だったらしく、大層喜んでいました。私も一切れもらったのですが、厚みも衣の具合も揚げ加減も、全部完璧でびっくりしました。そして肝心のカレーですが、こちらもとても美味しかったです！一口目は最初味わうとまずほのかな酸味が感じられ驚きます。が、すぐその酸味が失せ次にカレーの深みのある味がぐっと押し寄せます。今まで訪れたカレー専門店のなかでも、ダントツクラスで美味しい！！添えられた豚の角煮も、ホロホロと柔らかく、和風の醤油ベースの汁が染み込んでいて、カレーととてもマッチしていました。野菜は、人参、茄子、ブロッコリー、じゃがいもなど。ブロッコリーや茄子は素揚げされていて、特に揚げブロッコリーは香ばしくてよかったです。もし追加トッピングあるなら次来たときは乗せたいなと思います。辛いのは食べられない私はカレー屋さんに行くときは必ず辛さを調整できるか確認するのですが、ここのカレー屋さんは辛味を後入れできるので、辛いの苦手でも食べれるのがありがたかったです。接客もよく、特にお冷のタイミングが絶妙でした。よく気を配って、なくなったタイミングで声をかけてくれるのがありがたかったです。とても美味しかったので、次回箱根に来たときもまた来ます！！次はこころスペシャルを頼んでみます！

Best food we had in Hakone. Small and unassuming but made with Kokoro (heart) by the chef! Highly recommend the Cocoro special - Katsu was not oily, pork was super tender, and the curry was oh so well cooked and served on a mini wok. Closes at 730pm so go early!!

Friendly curry house a little out of the way. Food was tasty but a little more expensive than we expected. They have a great display of Star Wars toys btw!

Simply the most authentic and well cook curry I have ever tried in my life. Fresh veggies, slow cook meet, special rice and the owners are really caring. People said that it’s pricey but it’s not. It is a bit above the average but if you want to eat good food with good ingredients, you have to pay for it. Don’t hesitate and GO to this place!

Best Japanese curry I’ve had

This has been my number one meal from a two week holiday in Japan. Best pork cutlet ever, plenty of vegetables, delicious curry and perfectly cooked rice. Excellent service. Couldn't fault it at all! 10/10

we arrived just in time for their last order at 7.30pm. we has the chef's special 1700yen and supreme special 2000yen. BEST pork cutlet we have ever eaten, and we are foodies - we live to eat. I could have done without the curry but my husband finished every drop of it.portion is very generous! English menu, cute cozy space. would come back again just for the pork cutlet!

The first visit today. With a slightly darker lighting, the interior of the restaurant is impressive. I ordered a heart special curry.I went to the bathroom as soon as I entered the store, but after confirming that I returned to my seat, I brought the menu and the store was polite and friendly, and it was very pleasant. .Curry with eggplant, carrots, bean seedlings, broccoli, potatoes, simmered boiled rice and hot spring eggs is sweet (Is it fruit-based?) If you like spicy foods, we recommend adding the spices that come with them. (It is also delicious) Because it is in a hot iron pan, you can eat as hot as it seems to burn over time.The cutlet was crisp and soft and delicious.There is also a large serving on the menu, but I was good enough. It is a very voluminous and delicious curry.

Ordered the Cocoro Special - the curry is pretty dang good. Mild flavor with lots of fresh veggies, soft boiled egg is a nice touch and the sizzling pan is very impressive when it comes out. But the real winner here is the katsu, probably one of the best I've ever had. Fried to perfection, crispy and juicy it doesn't even need sauce with all the delicious fatty juices oozing out of it. I would come back just for the katsu.My only complaint is the tables and chairs were super short 😅 while seated, my knees were actually above the table, so tall people beware.
